Joining Together: Board Challenge

Dear Fellow Hathaway-Sycamores Board Members:

These are really difficult and scary times. As much as we are aware of the challenges to those we serve, I think it is nearly impossible to truly understand what life is like for those children and families that are quarantined with no school or services and already fragile mental health.  At a time when we have just postponed our exciting Celebrating Children event next weekend, we have some sizable investments to make in hardware, software and training if we are to reach those in need over the next several months.  Many of these investments will help our efficiency even in more normal times going forward.  

In these times of crisis, it is the board that needs to send a message to our staff, clients, and potential donors that we are willing to make a statement.  I want our 700 incredible service providers to know that we are with them and appreciate all of their hard work.  So, I am offering to match, dollar for dollar, any donation made by the Hathaway-Sycamores board, advisory board, and former board members up to a total of $25,000.  

This would add highly valuable dollars that we lost or were delayed due to the Gala postponement; would be used for much needed unforeseen capabilities; and send a message to our talented and dedicated staff that we are in it with them.  I know for many this is a scary and financially uncertain time, so any amount would be doubled and allow us to tell others that our board participation was high.  Please click the donate button above to make your contribution online, or you can call Anne-Marie Bulawka, Chief Advancement Officer at 818-517-0905 or Megan Aubrey, Vice President of Development at 626-864-4404, and they can help process your gift.
